Juno Doran - 14/11/2009 I was really excited to find this for sale!! I've been using the Midori Traveler's Notebook for a while, which is a very similar type of journal but a lot narrower. Finding this in A5 size was perfection! This is a journal with a traveller's soul, even if you never leave the house with it. The cover is very flexible and has a beautiful simplicity, and with prolongued use it will gain character.
The things I didn't like so much about it (but was so happy to find this that I don't mind): the elastic would be much better if it came from the back rather than from the front. The paper that comes with it isn't really that good. But that's the beauty of it, you can change it all. I made a hole in the back to change the position of the elastic, and I made an A5 sketchbook from drawing paper I had in the house.
The cover can take 2 books but the stapled ones are better and it helps if they're not very thick, something like the size of a school notebook is ideal. You can also get creative and have one blank book and another insert made like a folder to keep loose stuff.
Basically, love it! |
